About this game

The player moves through linear levels shooting soldiers, robots, and mutated enemies with an upgradeable default weapon and temporary power weapons picked up along the way, while also boarding the tank-like Metal Slug vehicle for added firepower. Levels end in a boss encounter, and later stages branch into different paths depending on choices made mid-level. The game supports two players fighting through the campaign together, reviving fallen partners and sharing power weapon pickups during a run.

Vehicle Combat Players can pilot the Metal Slug tank for extra firepower.
Power Weapons Temporary weapon pickups replace the default sidearm until used up or lost.
Branching Levels Some stages split into alternate paths mid-mission.
Cooperative Play Two players can fight through the campaign together.
