The story follows a young mage named Emil, whose titular grimoire has lost its power. Its pages turned into undecipherable glyphs that only puzzle solving can restore. There are 280 puzzles spanning six grid sizes, from small 5x5 boards up to a large 40x30 layout. Each puzzle tests deduction rather than luck or timing. A fusion system lets players combine two or three already-solved puzzles as materials. Correctly matching the right combination unlocks a brand new puzzle to solve. Clearing puzzles and fusing them together forms the core loop of play. As Emil grows stronger from each success, new magic book categories and fusion options open up. Toggleable assist functions adjust the difficulty for newcomers without changing the underlying grid logic. The interface stays clean throughout, keeping the numbered row and column hints readable even on the largest 40x30 boards.
