Magrunner: Dark Pulse

The player moves through a series of enclosed test chambers, using the glove to give objects positive or negative magnetic charges so that like charges repel and opposite charges attract, launching crates, platforms, and the player's own character across gaps and around obstacles. As the game progresses, the puzzle mechanics combine with new elements such as moving platforms and hazards that require precise timing alongside the magnetic manipulation.

Beyond the puzzle chambers, the story introduces cosmic horror elements drawn from Lovecraftian fiction, with the test facility and its inhabitants tied to a larger, unsettling narrative that unfolds between puzzle sequences. This pairing of clinical, mechanical puzzle design with a creeping horror storyline is what separates it from straightforward physics-puzzle games.

• Magnetic charge mechanic Objects can be charged positive or negative to attract or repel each other.
• Physics-based chambers Puzzles require launching objects and the player across gaps using magnetism.
• Lovecraftian story elements The narrative introduces cosmic horror themes between puzzle sequences.
• Escalating hazards Later puzzles combine magnetism with timing-based obstacles.
