Each event is stripped down to a simple control scheme, with motion input supported so newcomers can pick a controller up and play at once. Tennis and baseball focus on timing your swing, while goalkeeper asks you to read a shot and dive the right way. Bowling follows familiar ten-pin scoring, rafting steers a boat down a course, and the hurdle race is a sprint with rhythm-based jumps. Rounds are short, which keeps a group rotating quickly through turns rather than waiting. Twenty characters can be customised with a name, outfit, accessories and hair, so everyone at the table has an avatar of their own. Eighteen playable settings host the events, and a long list of unlockable items rewards repeat play. Modes cover solo scoring runs against best times and high scores as well as group competition on a single system. Difficulty can be adjusted so children and adults compete in the same session without one side being outmatched. It aims at family and party play rather than simulation depth, and each sport takes a minute or two to learn.
