Gangs of Sherwood

Players choose from four heroes, Robin, Marian, Friar Tuck, or Little John, and lead a rebellion against soldiers, war machines, and bosses empowered by mysterious stones. Combat blends melee and ranged attacks unique to each hero, and players combine different heroes' fighting styles to chain together combos with teammates. Between missions, the party gathers at a hideout to plan strategy and spend gold earned in the field on gear from merchants. Saving civilians raises the player's reputation, which unlocks new upgrades and stronger combo options as the campaign progresses. Missions carry the crew from Sherwood Forest to an assault on the Sheriff's flying castle, throwing waves of enhanced soldiers and towering machines in their path. Each hero's skills can be customized to fit a preferred playstyle, whether that means close-range brawling, ranged support, or crowd control. The game supports both solo play and full four-player cooperation, with the difficulty of enemy encounters scaling to match the group.
