Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition

Players create and control a character exploring the interconnected dark fantasy world of Lordran, fighting dangerous enemies and towering bosses with melee weapons, spells, and shields while managing stamina and equipment weight. Defeated enemies drop souls, a currency used both to level up stats at bonfires and to purchase items, and dying returns collected souls to the death location for one chance at recovery. The included Artorias of the Abyss content adds new areas, bosses, weapons, and a covenant not present in the base release.

• Interconnected World Areas of Lordran connect into shortcuts that loop back toward earlier locations.
• Souls-Based Progression Souls collected from enemies are spent on leveling up or buying items.
• Bonfire Checkpoints Resting at a bonfire restores health but also respawns most enemies.
• Artorias of the Abyss Content Adds new areas, bosses, and equipment beyond the base game.
