Compass of Destiny: Istanbul

His family was destroyed by an Ottoman commander, and the accidental discovery of a mysterious compass sets him on a path toward vengeance. By day, the game recreates the historic city in detail, letting players explore its streets, meet its people and piece together the story through exploration. At night, the compass pulls the hero into Fitrat, a dream realm where the game shifts into hack-and-slash combat layered with light role-playing progression. In Fitrat, players fight through dreamscape enemies while building up their character with new skills, weapons and armor picked up along the way. Combat is mixed with puzzle-solving and platforming sections, so getting through the realm asks for more than just fighting. The two halves of the game feed into each other. What the hero learns in the waking city changes what he faces in the dream world, and vice versa. Throughout, the compass itself acts as both a navigation tool and a way of revealing hidden truths about the hero's past and the war that shaped it. It is built as a story-driven RPG where historical detail and dream-logic combat sit side by side. Careful exploration in each half carries real consequences for the other.
