COCOON

Players guide the protagonist through environments built around chained worlds, dropping an orb to enter the world held inside it and picking it back up to carry that world into another. Solving each area's puzzles requires understanding how objects and switches inside one orb-world affect the connected worlds outside it, with no dialogue or text guiding the player.

New orb abilities unlock gradually, such as ones that reveal hidden paths or interact with specific mechanisms, and the design layers earlier abilities into later puzzles rather than discarding them. Boss encounters interrupt the exploration with more direct action sequences, testing timing rather than the careful sequencing found elsewhere in the game.

• Nested Worlds Carry orbs containing entire explorable worlds between connected areas.
• Silent Storytelling Understand the setting entirely through visuals with no dialogue or text.
• Layered Abilities Combine newly unlocked orb powers with earlier ones to solve puzzles.
• Boss Encounters Face direct action sequences that break up the puzzle-solving pace.
