Anno 2070

The player lays out residential districts, factories, and farms across island terrain, balancing production chains so raw materials feed into goods that keep growing populations supplied and happy. Two opposing factions, one favoring heavy industry and one favoring ecological methods, offer different building sets and playstyles, and a third faction later in the game focuses on advanced technology. Beyond construction, players research new upgrades, trade goods between islands and other players, and build naval fleets to defend shipping routes or contest rival settlements.

• Island City Building Settlements are constructed across multiple separate islands with limited buildable space.
• Faction Choice Players align with industrial or ecological factions offering different buildings.
• Production Chains Raw resources must be processed through multiple stages to satisfy population needs.
• Naval Fleets Ships defend trade routes and can be used to contest rival territory.
• Research Trees Technology upgrades unlock new buildings and production improvements.
