Heroes of Might & Magic V Gold Edition

The player explores an overworld map, gathers resources, and builds up town economies to recruit stronger creature types, then directs hex-based tactical battles between opposing armies led by heroes with distinct skills and spells. Different towns are tied to different factions, each with its own roster of creatures and playstyle.

The Gold Edition bundles the base campaign with its two expansion campaigns, adding new factions, heroes, and story content beyond the original release. Heroes gain experience and equipment across linked campaign missions, carrying growth forward between scenarios.

Turn-based battles reward careful positioning on a hex grid, since terrain and unit placement affect how spells and attacks land during each engagement.

• Turn-Based Battles Combat takes place on hex grids with positioning and unit abilities.
• Town Management Players build structures to recruit stronger creature types over time.
• Hero Progression Heroes gain skills, spells, and equipment across the campaign.
