What happens when my data runs out or the plan expires?

When your plan's data is used up, or its days end, mobile data on your eSIM stops. You're never charged again automatically: each plan is a one-time payment, not a subscription. A daily plan works differently: once you've used a day's allowance, it slows down until the next day's allowance starts. For more data, buy a new plan.

When your trip is over, switch mobile data back to your home SIM so you have data at home again: choose your home line in the same setting you used for the eSIM on iPhone, Pixel or Samsung.

Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat it meansWhat to do

Pages and apps stop loading on the eSIM partway through your trip

The data is used up, or the plan's days have ended

Check what you've used with how to check your remaining data, then buy a new plan if you need more

A daily plan is very slow for the rest of the day

You've used that day's allowance, so the speed is reduced until it renews

Wait for the next day's allowance, or use Wi-Fi

Data stopped, but your phone's count is below your plan's size

The network's count can differ a little from your phone's

Contact us if the gap is large

Your home SIM has no data after the trip

Your phone still uses the eSIM for mobile data

Choose your home line for mobile data, and turn your home line back on if you turned it off
