Players place and reposition shooters along building floors, using elevators and moving walkways to shift units where the fight is hardest. Each shooter can be upgraded with crafted power-up badges, turning a basic recruit into a specialized unit. Waves bring more than thirty distinct zombie types, from shambling grunts to large boss enemies that demand coordinated firepower to bring down.

Supportive gadgets add another layer of tactics, including thrown dynamite and close-range gauntlets for finishing off enemies that break through the line. Progress runs across fifty stages, and a built-in journal tracks every unit and piece of equipment unlocked along the way. Missions reward players with resources used to craft further badges and expand the squad's capabilities.
