Each run drops the player into a randomized dungeon layout with more verticality and tighter, more compact rooms than the original game, built for quicker fights and faster exploration. Dozens of unlockable weapons behave in distinct ways. From elemental staffs to rapid-fire sidearms, and every enemy carries its own elemental strengths and weaknesses that reward switching loadouts mid-run rather than relying on a single favorite gun.

Between runs, players return to the Citadel, home base of the Brotherhood, to recruit new allies, upgrade equipment and pick the next mission from a growing list. Success depends on constant movement and quick reflexes. Since a single mistake against a horde or a boss-tier Guardian can end a run on the spot, so preparation and loadout choices in the Citadel matter as much as reactions in the dungeon itself.
