X4: Foundations

Players can pilot ships directly in first-person or third-person view, manage a growing fleet, and construct their own space stations to produce and trade goods within an economy that reacts to player and non-player activity.

Diplomacy, piracy, and combat exist alongside trade and construction, letting players pursue military, economic, or exploratory paths depending on their goals.

The universe runs on a simulated economy where every faction's ships and stations operate independently, so player actions ripple through supply chains and territorial control over time.

• Persistent Universe Factions and economies operate independently of player actions.
• Station Building Construct and manage production stations across the galaxy.
• Direct Ship Piloting Fly ships in first-person or third-person view.
• Fleet Management Command multiple ships for trade, combat, or exploration.
