X4: Foundations | Discovery Pack

In the base game you start as one pilot and can build up to running fleets, factories and trade lanes. Every ship can be flown directly or handed to a hired captain and ordered around from a map view. The universe is fully simulated: factions mine, trade, build stations and fight each other whether or not you are involved, and prices move with supply. Station building is modular, letting you chain production modules into refineries, docks and shipyards that supply your own ships. Trading, combat, exploring and construction all feed the same economy, so a decision made in one system changes conditions elsewhere. Timelines contributes a set of scenarios, tied together by their own storyline, that walk through the many different sides of X4 play. Because the base game is part of the package, nothing else is required to start.
