X Rebirth: Home of Light

It requires the base game to play. In the base game you fly one ship with a crew, dock at stations, walk their interiors, take jobs and trade inside a fully simulated economy where prices move with supply. This add-on widens that map. Home of Light itself is a wealthy system with a busy economy, Toride is hostile ground that rewards careful exploring, and Cold Star is rich in resources but dangerous to work. Alongside them comes a new station type: warehouses you build to stockpile large volumes of a single ware, which lets you run your own trading operation or sit on supply to move prices in your favour. Two new starting positions change how a game opens. One puts you in the middle of the prosperous Home of Light with two capable freighters already under your control. The other casts you as a Verge Explorer with a well-equipped ship and a versatile crew. New missions feed into the bulletin boards, the Xenon threat hits harder than before, a long-absent enemy returns, and further weapons, missiles and hidden caches are scattered through the added space.
