Wildfrost

Each run starts with a small deck and a leader card, and players add new companions, weapons, and charms as they defeat enemies and clear encounters along a branching path. Combat takes place on a row of slots where cards attack automatically in turn order, so deck order and card placement matter as much as raw stats.

Runs end permanently on defeat, sending players back to the start with a fresh deck to build from scratch. A frost mechanic slowly weakens units over time, pushing players to defeat threats quickly rather than stall out battles.

Between battles, a traveling companion offers upgrades, item crafting, and card removal in exchange for resources gathered during runs. Boss encounters introduce unique mechanics that force players to adapt their deck strategy on the spot.
