Vengeance of Mr. Peppermint

Peppermint is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up that follows a hard-boiled detective hunting the killers behind his sister's death two decades earlier. Inspired by classic Korean crime dramas, he wades through a decaying criminal underworld, working from street thugs up to whoever gives the orders. Combat is built around precise combos and brutal, over-the-top fatalities, and the city itself becomes a weapon: meat hooks, industrial ovens and processing equipment all double as tools of destruction. The game tracks how far the detective is willing to go. The crueler his methods, the more his grip on reality slips, and the story twists in response, blurring the line between the man seeking justice and the killer he is hunting. Fights escalate from grounded street brawls to disorienting, nightmarish confrontations as his mind unravels. It is a linear, combat-focused game that rewards reading enemy patterns, chaining combos cleanly and improvising with whatever is nearby. A noir revenge plot runs underneath, constantly reframing what really happened to his sister and what the hunt is turning him into.
