Valiant Hearts: The Great War

The player solves environmental puzzles by switching between characters with different abilities, such as a nurse who can pass through tight barbed-wire gaps or a soldier who can push heavy objects, to progress through trench and battlefield settings. Stealth sections require avoiding enemy soldiers by timing movement and using distractions rather than direct confrontation. The story is told through a mix of gameplay and illustrated cutscenes, following how the war separates and eventually reconnects the four playable characters and a dog companion who assists with certain puzzles.

• Multiple Playable Characters Each character has a distinct ability used to solve specific puzzle types.
• Stealth Avoidance Enemy soldiers must be evaded using cover and timing rather than combat.
• Dog Companion Puzzles A trained dog helps reach small spaces and retrieve items.
• Illustrated Storytelling Cutscenes use a hand-drawn art style to depict wartime events.
