Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Picking up after the previous game, Ezio arrives in a city under Borgia control and works to rebuild the Assassin Brotherhood. Players free-run across rooftops, blend into crowds, and use stealth and hidden-blade assassinations to eliminate targets. Melee weapons, a crossbow and horse-mounted combat back this up when the open road beats the rooftops. A new Brotherhood system lets Ezio recruit citizens he rescues from Borgia guards, training them into assassin apprentices. He can send these recruits on missions across the wider map or summon them into a fight for backup, and doing so earns them experience and new gear over time. Twelve Borgia towers stand as fortified strongpoints across the city, and burning each one down weakens Borgia control of that district while unlocking a new location to manage recruits from. Ezio can also buy and renovate shops, guilds and landmarks around Rome, turning the city into a steady source of income that funds weapons, armor and Brotherhood upgrades. Combat blends counters, chain kills and environmental takedowns with a Notoriety meter that rises the more openly Ezio fights. Players tear down wanted posters or bribe heralds to stay unnoticed when they get too visible. The game also introduces competitive multiplayer, where players choose from several classes, each with a signature weapon and kill animations, across modes built around blending in and hunting rivals.
