Every task is a self-contained test of vehicle handling. You reverse trailers around obstacles, back into tight bays, sort a yard full of tractors and trailers into their correct slots, and park to fine tolerances while a clock runs. More than fifty challenges are included, arranged so the demands grow as you work through them. Scoring is by medal, with gold awarded for the cleanest and quickest runs, and awards build up as you improve. Difficulty settings change what you are allowed to see rather than what the trucks do. At the highest setting the external cameras switch off and you manoeuvre using the in-cab mirrors alone, which is how the job is actually handled. The trucks and trailers are modelled in detail and behave with the weight and pivot you would expect from a coupled rig, so reversing stays counter-intuitive until you learn it. There is no cargo economy, no company to expand and no open road to cruise. What you get is concentrated practice at the hardest part of driving a large vehicle, scored precisely enough to make repeating a run worthwhile.
