The base game puts you in the cab to drive true-to-life trains across detailed routes. Free roam exploration, a photo mode, a livery designer and a scenario planner support custom runs. This edition adds the East Coast Main Line between Peterborough and Doncaster, an eighty-mile route with stops at Grantham, Newark Northgate and Retford. The line is worked by Azuma express units and Class 66 freight locomotives on regular services. Alongside the route, the edition includes the LNER Class A3 60103 Flying Scotsman in its preserved condition, finished in Brunswick Green with smoke deflectors and running under its later British Railways number. It comes with period-appropriate Mk1 support and Mk2 coaching stock for heritage railtour scenarios, plus a detailed footplate that models its handling characteristics. Dedicated scenarios built around its centenary let you run the locomotive on the included route or design your own excursions using the scenario planner.
