Trailmakers: High Seas Expansion

The base game hands you a block-based construction kit and a physics engine, then lets you bolt together cars, boats, aircraft and stranger machines from engines, wheels, wings, thrusters and control surfaces. Anything you build is driven straight away, and a poor design will flip, snap apart or sink. This add-on turns the focus to water. It brings a large open sea map with four islands to explore: a tropical shore, a wooded Viking-styled wilderness, a frozen dig site and a volcanic peak. Wind and waves are simulated, so a hull that behaves in calm water may founder in rough weather, and sailing craft depend on how you angle the sails. New parts include sail blocks, hull blocks for building ships, fresh seats and cosmetic pieces such as sailor hats. The hull blocks accept the same skins used elsewhere in the game. Exploration is the spine of the content, with dozens of artifacts hidden on each island and more than a hundred treasures to track down above and below the surface. Amphibious and submersible builds are viable, so one craft can drive, float and dive.
