Total War: WARHAMMER

On the campaign map, the player recruits armies, manages settlements, and forges or breaks alliances between rival factions, each with its own playstyle, from the disciplined ranks of the Empire to the raucous, ever-brawling Greenskin hordes.

Battles switch to a fully three-dimensional real-time view where formations, terrain, and flanking decide the fight, and legendary lords and named monsters can turn a battle by themselves, giving each faction a distinct feel beyond just its unit roster.

Each faction's campaign opens with its own unique objectives tied to its lore: the Dwarfs pursue an ancient grudge-settling book, while the Vampire Counts chase a ritual of undeath. The same underlying battle system becomes four genuinely distinct campaigns rather than one map simply reskinned four different ways.

• Turn-based campaign map Settlements, diplomacy, and army recruitment are managed faction by faction across a fantasy world.
• Large real-time battles Thousands of troops clash in fully three-dimensional battles where terrain and flanking decide the outcome.
• Four distinct factions The Empire, Dwarfs, Greenskins, and Vampire Counts each play with their own units and strengths.
• Legendary lords Named heroes and monsters lead armies and can shift a battle's outcome on their own.
