Total War: THREE KINGDOMS - Mandate of Heaven (DLC)

In the base game, players lead a warlord faction through turn-based campaign management, handling diplomacy. City development and resource gathering, then resolve conflicts on real-time tactical battlefields where unit formations, terrain and general abilities decide the outcome. Alliances shift constantly as rival factions vie for control of a fractured empire.

This DLC opens an earlier chapter of the story, set before the main campaign, when a great rebellion known as the Yellow Turban uprising throws the ruling dynasty into crisis. It adds six new playable factions split between loyalist and rebel sides, plus nine new characters and a court system that balances rival power blocs.

Forty new battlefield units join the roster, giving each faction distinct playstyles, and the rebellion story can carry forward into the main game's later timeline once it concludes. Some factions can raise troops in unclaimed territory without first holding land there, opening more aggressive early expansion for players who choose the rebel side.

• Yellow Turban Rebellion Play through the uprising that destabilizes the empire before the main story begins.
• Six New Factions Command loyalist or rebel warlords, each with a unique political or military system.
• Imperial Court System Balance three competing power blocs to keep the ruling dynasty from collapsing.
• Forty New Units Recruit specialized troops that give every faction a more distinct battlefield identity.
