Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai – The Saga Faction Pack

The base game is a turn-based strategy campaign wrapped around real-time tactical battles. It is set during a civil war in which traditional samurai armies collide with imported rifles, artillery and steamships. You pick a clan aligned with either the imperial cause or the shogunate. On the campaign map you manage settlements, trade, railways and agents. In battle you command the resulting armies and fleets in real time, where naval gunfire can shell troops standing on the shore. Saga is written as a clan shaped by long contact with foreign traders. It fields a gunnery bonus that improves the accuracy of every artillery piece by five, extra growth from industrial buildings, cheaper ship recruitment and upkeep, and an established trade footing with the foreign powers. That pushes the clan toward heavy guns, shipbuilding and industry rather than massed swordsmen. The faction can be used in the single-player campaign, in multiplayer campaigns, and in custom and multiplayer battles. It works both as a long strategic run and as a one-off battle roster.
