Total War: ROME II - Spartan Edition

On the campaign map, the player manages a chosen faction's cities, diplomacy, trade, and army recruitment turn by turn across a map spanning the ancient Mediterranean world and neighboring lands.

When armies clash, the game switches to real-time battles where the player commands units of infantry, cavalry, and siege equipment directly on a 3D battlefield, using terrain and formations to win engagements.

Factions range from Rome's own rival families to Carthage, Greek city-states, and other ancient powers, each with different starting units and strengths. The Spartan Edition adds extra content built around ancient Sparta, including additional units and a scenario centered on the Spartan military tradition.
