Total War Rome II - Pirates & Raiders Culture Pack

Players take command of seafaring raider cultures who rely on fast ships, naval ambushes, and mobile land raiding rather than the traditional heavy infantry armies of major empires. The pack adds unique unit rosters featuring lightly armored raiders, agile ships built for hit-and-run tactics, and commanders suited to opportunistic warfare rather than prolonged sieges. Campaign play with these factions emphasizes plundering settlements, disrupting trade routes, and using speed and surprise instead of matching larger civilizations in direct confrontation. New building options and faction-specific mechanics reflect a raiding economy, where wealth comes from captured loot rather than steady agricultural development. The content integrates into the existing turn-based campaign map and real-time battle system, letting players experience the grand strategy title's core mechanics from the perspective of marginalized, opportunistic cultures rather than established empires. It suits players who enjoy asymmetric playstyles and naval-focused strategies within the broader ancient warfare setting.
