About this game
Players lead Norse warbands across the campaign map, combining turn-based diplomacy and territorial expansion with real-time tactical battles fought using unit types unique to these factions, such as raiders and shieldwall infantry. New building chains and technology options let these factions develop along paths distinct from the Roman and barbarian groups available in the base game, reflecting a raiding and seafaring focus. A Scandinavian-themed battle soundtrack plays during combat involving these factions, reinforcing their distinct identity within the wider campaign.
- Three Norse Factions Adds three new playable Scandinavian factions to the campaign map.
- Unique Unit Roster Introduces raiders, shieldwall infantry, and other faction-specific units.
- New Building Chains Gives the added factions distinct economic and military development paths.
- Themed Battle Music Plays a Scandinavian-inspired soundtrack during battles for these factions.
