Three Kingdom: The Journey

Each run sends you down a branching path across a campaign map, picking routes between battles, cities, and chance encounters. Combat is turn-based and card-driven. You field infantry to deal damage, cavalry to control the flow of your deck, and ranged units to land status effects. A collection of more than one hundred cards spans generals, armies, formations, and spells, split across three factions with distinct strengths. Famous generals can be recruited mid-run, anchoring a deck around their abilities. Over sixty enemy types and boss encounters push you to adapt, since a deck tuned for one foe can stall against the next. Nine kinds of zone and more than twenty events reshuffle each journey, and past choices influence which paths open ahead. Between fights you spend experience and currency on upgrades, trimming weak cards and sharpening the rest. Runs stay brisk, so a failed campaign invites another attempt with a different faction or route.
