Sundered Eldritch Edition

The player controls a wanderer navigating collapsing, procedurally rearranged tunnels beneath a ruined landscape, unlocking new movement abilities that open previously blocked paths in classic metroidvania fashion. Combat frequently escalates into large swarms of enemies converging at once, requiring the player to manage crowd control and positioning rather than one-on-one duels.

Periodic boss encounters offer the player a choice to corrupt their character with eldritch power for stronger abilities at a cost to their humanity, altering both appearance and available skills. The hand-drawn art style, animated in a fluid frame-by-frame technique, gives the ruined world and its monstrous inhabitants a distinct, unsettling look not typical of the genre.

• Shifting Level Layouts Sections of the map rearrange between visits rather than staying fixed.
• Swarm Combat Enemies frequently attack in large numbers, demanding crowd-control tactics.
