Stronghold: Warlords | Special Edition

Players gather resources, construct and fortify a base, and manage a population while raising armies to attack rival warlords or defend against sieges, following the series' long-running formula of economic simulation paired with direct combat. A warlord alliance system lets players call on special abilities and units tied to historical figures, adding strategic choices beyond direct base management. Campaigns are built around real historical conflicts, while skirmish and multiplayer modes let players build settlements and fight other strategists on custom maps.

• Castle Building Players design and fortify strongholds using walls, towers and gatehouses.
• Economic Simulation Resource chains for food, materials and gold must be balanced to sustain an army.
• Warlord Alliances Special allied units and abilities can be called upon during battles.
• Historical Campaigns Scenarios are based on real medieval East Asian conflicts.
