Stronghold Crusader 2: The Templar and The Duke

The base game has you settle a Middle Eastern map, sink wells and stockpile water, farm and quarry, then raise walls, towers and traps around a keep. Economy and army are tied together. Bread, cheese and ale keep peasants working, while stone, wood and gold pay for archers, swordsmen and siege engines. Battles run in real time against castle defences you have to break or hold. This pack adds two rival lords who show up as computer opponents in skirmish, campaign and multiplayer play. The Templar recruits only heavy crusader troops and fights with religious zeal. The Duke throws up sprawling segmented castles with winding walkways, layered towers and deliberate killing zones, which forces you to rethink how you plan an assault. A skirmish trail of seven missions pits you against the pair.
