Stray Path

Each run starts with a choice of adventurer, then sends the player down a branching path of cards representing enemies, events, items and prizes. Cards can be kept or discarded from a two-slot inventory. So every pickup forces a decision about what to carry forward, and encounters can often be avoided rather than fought if the player chooses caution over combat.

Over a hundred pieces of equipment let each adventurer be built toward very different extremes. From a heavily armored build that soaks up damage to a fragile glass-cannon build that trades survivability for high burst damage. Because the world layout, enemies and rewards regenerate on every attempt, no two runs offer the same sequence of choices.

• FreeCell-Style Cards Skill and item cards are drawn and managed using FreeCell-inspired card rules.
• Two-Slot Inventory Only two cards can be held at once, forcing constant keep-or-discard decisions.
• Over 100 Equipment Pieces More than a hundred equipment pieces support wildly different character builds.
• Optional Combat Many encounters can be fought or avoided, letting the player choose caution over risk.
