Spintires

The player selects a truck, plans a route across an open map of swamps, rivers, and hills, and drives carefully to avoid becoming stuck in deep mud or water. Vehicles can get lodged and need to be freed using winches attached to trees or other trucks, and terrain physically deforms and holds tire tracks as it is driven over, making the driving itself the central challenge rather than combat or racing.

• Realistic mud physics Terrain deforms and holds ruts as vehicles drive over soft ground.
• Truck winching Stuck vehicles can be recovered using a winch attached to a fixed point.
• Open terrain routes Players plan paths across rivers, hills, and swamps rather than fixed roads.
• Cargo transport goal Missions center on moving loads between points despite difficult ground.
