Combat borrows from souls-likes, so swings are committed, stamina limits how long you can press an attack, and reading an opponent's wind-up matters more than mashing. The 2.5D presentation keeps fights on a mostly flat plane, which means spacing and timing decide exchanges instead of aim. A wide rack of melee weapons is available and each carries its own reach, speed and moveset, with practice opening stronger techniques. Secondary arms, spells and throwable items round out a loadout and give you tools to break a guard, close a gap or escape a losing trade. Because roughly twenty squads share a single round, fights tend to arrive in waves, and a third team stumbling into your duel is a normal way to lose. Rounds are short, running about twenty minutes at most, so a bad start costs little. Other modes sit alongside the main battle royale rules. Teamwork is the difference here, since reviving, flanking and picking off a wounded straggler beat trading blows head on.
