About this game
Traveling through a forest inhabited by different bird species, Birb interacts with the world largely through singing, using simple note-matching sequences to communicate, solve puzzles and unlock new areas. As the story unfolds, Birb spends time living among various flocks, each teaching a distinct melody, movement style and cultural quirk, and the player gradually pieces together what makes Birb different from all of them. The platforming is gentle and forgiving, keeping the focus on exploration, character interactions and the game's central question of identity and belonging. Environments are colorful and hand-crafted, moving from marshes to mountain peaks as Birb's journey progresses, with each area introducing new musical mechanics tied to its resident species. It's a short, narrative-driven game aimed at players who enjoy cozy platforming wrapped around a heartfelt coming-of-age story told through song.
