Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion

Players choose one of several factions, each with distinct ships, abilities and playstyles, then expand from a home planet by colonizing new worlds and building space stations. Combat happens in real time across multiple star systems simultaneously, with players managing production, research, and diplomacy while capital ships gain experience and unlock new abilities over time. The game layers exploration, expansion, exploitation, and conquest onto continuous real-time combat rather than turn-based rounds, letting large fleet battles play out while economic decisions continue elsewhere in the galaxy.

• Faction Choice Multiple factions offer distinct fleets, technologies, and strategic approaches.
• Capital Ship Progression Capital ships earn experience and can be outfitted with upgrades as battles continue.
• Simultaneous Multi-System Combat Battles across several star systems can unfold at the same time.
• Diplomacy and Research Players negotiate with other empires and unlock new technology trees.
