Roguebook - Fugoro, Merchant of Wonders

Roguebook traps you inside a living book, where you fight across procedurally built pages laid out on hexagonal tiles. You take two heroes into each run, place them in front and back rows, and chain card plays into combos during turn-based battles. Magic inks uncover more of the map, and each new tile can hide gold, a treasure or a fight. Cards, gems and relics found along the way reshape your deck mid-run.

This add-on brings in Fugoro, a triton merchant tied to the catastrophe at the centre of the story. He carries a heavy backpack of treasure and enchanted coins, and fights with a staff that leaves marks on enemies. His kit rests on three ideas: coins you spend for effect, marks that stack on a target, and agility that rewards striking early in a turn. More than fifty new cards, talents and treasures are written around those mechanics. His signature treasure is the Magic Staff, which grants extra power to the first attack he makes each turn. He is fully voiced and animated, with dialogue that fills in more of the setting. Finish the first chapter to unlock him, then recruit him at the base camp on a later run.
