River City Girls 2

The player controls one of several characters from the River City universe, including returning fighters Misako and Kyoko alongside new playable additions, moving through linear levels while fighting groups of enemies with melee combos, throws, and special moves. A shopping and leveling system lets players buy food and items from in-level shops to boost stats between fights.

Up to four players can team up locally to fight through the story together, and each character has a distinct moveset and special attack list, encouraging different playstyles across brawling encounters. Boss fights punctuate the end of story chapters, requiring the player to learn attack patterns rather than button-mash through them.
