Project Hospital - Traumatology Department

In the base game you design a hospital room by room, hire and specialise staff, sign insurance contracts and solve diagnostic puzzles using examinations, laboratory tests and imaging machines. This add-on opens a trauma wing aimed at the most severely injured patients. It brings thirty-five new diagnoses covering wounds, fractures and other trauma cases. The most critical patients arrive by helicopter, so the hospital needs a landing pad and a sensible route from it into treatment. New specialised equipment comes with the department, along with wheelchairs for moving patients with lighter injuries and fresh decorations for the wards. Injured patients get their own graphics and animations, including visible wounds, bandages and crutches as they leave. The blood shown on patients can be switched off in the options if you prefer. A set of new events puts the department under pressure by sending in casualties from disasters, accidents and crime. A sandbox level built around trauma care is included, so you can start with the department in mind rather than retrofitting an existing hospital. The Project Hospital base game is required for any of this to work.
