About this game
The player spends DNA points earned over time to give the pathogen new transmission methods, symptoms, and resistances, balancing infectiousness against lethality since killing hosts too quickly can slow the disease's spread or trigger a faster cure effort. Several playable pathogen types, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and a bio-weapon, each follow different rules and starting conditions.
A live news ticker reports outbreaks and government responses as the pathogen spreads, tracking cure research progress and giving feedback on how close humanity is to containing the outbreak. A scenario editor lets players build custom outbreak conditions and starting points beyond the standard game modes.
- Pathogen Evolution DNA points are spent to add new traits, symptoms, and resistances to the pathogen.
- Multiple Pathogen Types Bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other pathogen types each play differently.
- Live News Ticker In-game news reports track outbreak spread and cure research as events unfold.
- Scenario Editor Players can design custom outbreak scenarios and starting conditions.
