Operation: Polygon Storm

Players choose which specialized military units to deploy from a roster of infantry, vehicles and support troops, then send them forward. Once deployed, units advance, attack and take cover on their own, so success comes from picking the right mix and timing, not direct control. The goal on each map is to push the front line toward the enemy base and capture it before the opponent does the same. Killstreak rewards build up as the fight progresses, unlocking stronger abilities and reinforcements mid-battle. Unit synergies matter, since certain troop combinations cover each other's weaknesses, so success depends on a balanced composition rather than one strong unit. Runs carry roguelite structure, with unlocks and upgrades changing which units and abilities are available on later attempts. The battle system rewards quick reactions, since reading the opposing composition and countering it in the moment matters as much as the initial deployment plan. Combat is visceral, showing units taking damage and falling in the field rather than abstracting the fighting away. It sits between real-time strategy and tower defense, asking players to think in troop compositions and counters instead of managing individual soldiers by hand.
