Northgard - Hafgufa, Clan of the Turtle

This expansion adds the Hafgufa. A clan of merchants and negotiators led by the warchief Njord, who fights with an improvised paddle and specializes in talking prices down instead of raising an army. The clan's signature unit is the caravan, a mobile building that can move into neutral or rival territory to gather resources or set up a temporary outpost.

Shopkeepers travel with caravans, gathering goods and carrying them to friendly clans for trade rather than hoarding resources at home. Under threat, units can retreat inside their own buildings to wait out an attack, trading direct combat for patience and positioning. Playing this clan requires owning the base real-time strategy game it expands.
