Players take on the role of Reivax, steward of an evil sorcerer's crumbling tower. The job is to build up the tower before the first adventurers arrive to raid it. Construction covers laying out rooms, decorating them with furniture and treasures, and hiring a varied cast of minions. Each minion brings its own skills and quirks, and reputation rises as the dungeon grows more impressive. Higher reputation unlocks new levels and floors for the tower to expand into. Running the tower means juggling resources like tools, weapons, and astral energy to get ahead of rival dungeons. Staff need managing too, since minions strike, argue, and cause trouble when unhappy. Defense comes from two directions: laying traps against raiders or sending mercenaries out on offensive raids. Faction relationships add another layer, since mishandling them brings costly reprisals down on the tower. The tone stays light throughout, poking fun at heroic-fantasy tropes while the management systems underneath stay genuinely deep.
