About this game
9 is a side-scrolling action platformer where the player controls a robot named Beck who runs, jumps, and shoots through mechanical enemy stages.
After weakening an enemy with gunfire, Beck can dash through it to absorb a temporary power such as extra speed, fire damage, or a shield, then use that ability to clear obstacles or defeat other foes.
Each stage ends with a fight against one of a series of numbered rebelling robots, and defeating a boss adds its weapon to Beck's arsenal for later stages.
- Dash Absorption Dashing through a weakened enemy grants a temporary elemental or mobility power.
- Boss Rush Structure Each stage culminates in a fight against a numbered robot boss.
- Weapon Variety Defeated bosses contribute new weapons Beck can use in later stages.
- Branching Paths Levels contain alternate paths depending on which power is currently equipped.
