Microtopia

Players lay down pheromone trails that direct ants toward tasks such as gathering resources, producing goods and feeding the colony's queen. Sensors and logic gates can be placed along these trails to sort ants automatically based on what they are carrying. Turning simple paths into automated production lines that keep running without direct control. As the colony grows, workers can be upgraded into specialized castes, including flying ants, digging ants and inventor ants.

The goal is to gather enough resources to construct young queens and launch them to found new colonies on distant islands, each with its own biomes, hazards and plant species to discover. Progress unlocks a technology tree that expands what the colony can build and automate, and the game supports player-made content through workshop-style mod support.
