About this game
On the campaign map, players manage a chosen faction's cities, economy, religion, and diplomacy turn by turn while expanding territory across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. When armies meet, battles switch to a real-time 3D view where players position units such as knights, pikemen, and archers, using terrain and formations to break the enemy line. The Definitive Edition compiles the base campaign together with its expansion content, adding extra playable factions and campaigns covering conflicts such as the Americas and the Baltic Crusades.
