Harvest Days

The full title is Harvest Days: My Dream Farm, and the pace is set by you rather than by a quest list.

Farming is the backbone. More than fifty crops and roughly a dozen fruit trees can be planted, rotated and harvested, and vehicles take over the heavier field work once you can afford them. Animals need housing, feeding and looking after. What you produce can be worked into other goods or sold on for profit, and that money funds better tools, more land and a better-furnished house.

Around forty other pastimes sit alongside the fields, including fishing, foraging, recycling and gathering. An eco-minded streak runs through several of them, from clearing rubbish out of the landscape to riding a solar-powered scooter instead of burning fuel. Crafting covers both tools and furniture, so the inside of the farmhouse is as much yours as the fields are.

The world is open and holds secrets that reward wandering off the marked paths. Nothing pushes you along. You choose whether a given day goes on the harvest, on the water with a rod, or on redecorating the front room.
