Players choose one of three roles: head of state managing budgets, taxation and infrastructure projects such as power plants and rail networks; opposition leader building influence through media campaigns. Protests and elections; or chief executive running a multinational company across production, marketing and finance. Each role interacts with over a thousand possible actions spanning economic, military, social and diplomatic decisions.

The simulation models 175 countries and thousands of major companies with real economic, political and demographic data, then recalculates relationships, budgets and public opinion as the game runs. Wars unfold in staged campaigns. Intelligence agencies can run covert operations, and events such as natural disasters or shifting alliances are layered in through dozens of adjustable scenarios that change how each session plays out.
